Winter has arrived in Ely MN & the BWCA!
Flurries that turned into 6" of snow and temperatures in the teens during the day with the thermometer dipping down to -10 at night means that winter has finally arrived in Ely Minnesota! We still haven't seen Farm Lake, part of the White Iron Chain of Lakes freeze over yet (which usually happens around Thanksgiving). Most likely after a week of these low temps at night we will finally see 'hard water'.
